Five Minute Poetry

faery tree

This poetry exercise was taken from

Take a walk until you find a tree you identify with, then write a poem using the tree as a metaphor for yourself or your life.

I identify with plenty of trees, they are one of my most favourite things about our world. I have written poems about Weeping Willows and could go on to Birches, Oaks, Blossoms, Rowans and Elders as there are just so many that hold their own sense of character and represent many aspects of life to me – choose one that resonates with you and start there.

Happy Writing!
